From all of us at Transformation Ministries:
Merry Christmas
&
Blessings on your New Year!
May the Lord bless you and your family
over the coming holiday season with true peace and joy as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior!
So what does "Jesus Christ our Savior" really mean? If God is all powerful and so full of love, when he created us why did we need a savior? And why did God have to send His son to earth, to be born of the Virgin Mary in a manger, to live as a man in flesh and blood and then be rejected, beaten and crucified on a cross? Why?
The answer is simple...Agape Love. The bible says God is Love, Agape Love....totally unconditional and greater than our earthly minds can really comprehend.
AND He created us to experience that love in relationship as we were created in his image, SO the Father knew we would need to have
"free will" to truly experience His love in a spiritual relationship. BUT with
"free will", comes
man's ability to choose sin. God knew that when He created us but He wanted us to be able to experience relationship with him in Agape Love . So every person is born with an innate desire for relationship and to be loved... that only God can fill.
There in lies the answer to the questions above. We so often get so consumed with ourselves, jobs, money, families...you name it... that we try to fill that innate desire with other things.... AND those other things can never really satisfy or fulfill what God created for Him to fulfill.
Those things become idols in our life and eventually we develop Ungodly Beliefs (anything that is not in agreement with God's Word, Character or Nature) that operate in our lives to keep us disconnected from God. Since God is Holy and can not look upon sin, He knew He was going to have to send His Son, Jesus, to be the ultimate sacrifice for the sin of all mankind. Then we would have a way to come into relationship with Father God. His righteousness covers our sin. Jesus said, "I am the Way the Truth and the Life, no man comes to the Father but by me"John 14:6". Thus He became our Savior....
So the Christmas season is a wonderful time to reflect on your life and true fulfillment in life. If you feel something is missing, maybe you need the Savior. AND that just requires a simple ask..."Jesus will you come into my life and be my Lord and Savior..." He always answers the call. It all started in the Manger that Christmas day, and it ends in relationship with Father God our creator....
Have a blessed and very Merry Christmas!
