Celebrate Youth Week!
Free programs and activities May 1-7
We're celebrating young people and their contributions to the community by offering seven days of free and fun events as part of National Youth Week from May 1 to 7.

The town's activities will take place at locations throughout Oakville. Youth aged 11-19 will have free access to all drop-in swimming, skating, sport and fitness programs and Oakville Public Library creative activities. This year's line-up also features an opportunity to take on members of the  Oakville fire department in a firefighting combat challenge, a filmmaking workshop, a talent show and a 12-hour art project.
Upcoming events and other information

Are you prepared for an emergency?

Join us on May 6 to learn how to protect your family and property in an emergency or extreme weather event at our Keep Calm and Adapt event.
Exhibitors will be on hand to discuss programs and incentives available to help you implement climate change mitigation and adaptation actions and storm chaser Mark Robinson from the Weather Network will share stories of wild weather.
Kerr Street Underpass Project

We've identified the need to rebuild and widen Kerr Street between Speers Road and Wyecroft Road, including the building of a new underpass at the Lakeshore West GO Corridor.  We're partnering with Metrolinx on this project which will improve traffic flow in the area and allow for more frequent, electrified GO service. Learn more at a public meeting on May 2 from
6 to 8 p.m. at the Oakville Seniors Centre.
Council business at Town Hall

The next Council meeting takes place Monday, April 30 at 7 p.m. Join us at the meeting for the latest Council updates including recommendations from the Administrative Services Committee and Community Services Committee meetings on Monday, April 23. You can also tune in to watch live coverage of the meeting on the town's YouTube channel
