Doctor's Tip for the week

First Aid for Common Kid Injuries

From bumps and bruises to strains and sprains, see what to do for some of the most common injuries kids get while playing, and when to seek medical care.

Cuts, Scrapes, and Bruises. Kids are active. They run, jump, climb, and fall. A lot. Hands, elbows, and knees are the places most likely to get hurt. You can treat minor bumps and bruises at home.

Parenting Tip for the week

What's That Rash?

Kids' skin problems are often not a big deal and easy to treat. Learn to tell what the different kinds look like -- and when to see a doctor.

What's That? Wondering about that rash, welt, or bump on your child's skin? Sickness, allergies, and heat or cold are often behind kids' skin changes. Most aren't a big deal and are easy to treat.

News From LTA
View From The Front

Dear LTA Families,

We hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. This upcoming week at LTA our Waddlers will be focusing on their feelings and how to express them. It is vital to work with children on feelings so they are aware of how to properly communicate them. Because of age it can be a challenge for some to explain feelings. The remainder of our classrooms will focus on their 'growing bodies'. This theme will include identifying body parts as well as learning to stay healthy from head to toe.

Also, we wanted to remind all families to please be in tune with our General Health Policy. With so many illnesses continuously around it is a must we ensure the well-being of the entire facility, staff and students. With that being said your child must be symptom and medicine free for at least 24 hours before returning to school. This includes all colds, fevers, flu, strep throat, pink eye, vomiting, and other sickly symptoms that could be spread. In addition, a doctor's note is required stating that child is now well and able to return to school. This applies to every staff as well. It is very important to keep down the spread of germs in our building. Lastly, parents please be sure that your child has been changed prior to dropping off in the morning.

Thank you for your understanding & all that you do.
