School Board receives two state-level awards
Ray-Pec Board honored for its commitment and leadership
For the fourth consecutive year, the Ray-Pec School Board received two prestigious state-level awards from the Missouri School Boards' Association.
 
The Ray-Pec Board was one of only 20 boards statewide selected as an  Outstanding Board of Education  for 2018 (photo above). The board also  received the  2018 Governance Award .

School Boards were honored at the 2018 MSBA Leadership Summit at the Lake of the Ozarks on June 2. 
 
The Governance Award is based on a school boards' commitment to professional development, regional and statewide leadership, and legislative advocacy for public schools.
 
The Outstanding Boards of Education awards were aligned to six specific categories of the Missouri Public Education Vision Project.  Ray-Pec received the award in the category of Governance, Leadership, and Accountability.

Previously, Ray-Pec has received the OBOE award in the area of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment; School Finance; and Physical and Environmental Resources.

Go ahead and mark your calendars! Registration for the 2018-2019 school year is scheduled on two dates:
  • Wednesday, July 25, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 31, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Registration for all grades will take place at Ray-Pec South Middle School, 20501 S. School Rd., Peculiar.

Document needed to verify residency
When you register your student(s) for the 2018-2019 school year, you must provide one document to verify residency.  Acceptable proofs of residency include utility bills (water, electric or gas), in the resident's name, showing the service address. The documents must be recent (within 30 days). You will have an opportunity to verify residency and pay fees online in advance of the Registration event.

Important calendar dates
Some important dates to note:
  • June 4-28: Summer School.
  • July 4: Holiday. District offices are closed.
  • July 25: Registration for 2018-2019, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Ray-Pec South Middle School, 20501 S. School Rd.
  • July 31: Registration for 2018-2019 for returning families. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Ray-Pec South Middle School.
  • Aug. 13: Preview Day for 6th and 9th grades.
  • Aug. 13: Meet the Teacher Night, 4-7 p.m. at each elementary and middle school.
  • Aug. 15: First day of school.
