“I want to be around people that do things. I don’t want to be around people anymore that judge or talk about what people do. I want to be around people that dream and support and do things.” – Amy Poehler
Welcome to The Arena Newsletter
We'll revisit project and task planning tools in our next newsletter. For this newsletter, we thought you would enjoy a look at the web apps we love!
In the Arena
As we develop and expand our own software suite, we use many web apps. The features we consider include: intuitive visual display, effective knowledge transfer, and ease of use. Below are three web apps that pair well with Arena and delight us.

Kumu
Kumu is about understanding and displaying the various connections and interactions for a project, a societal issue, or the world. Because it seamlessly melds diagrams with qualitative information, it is a great way to understand a problem and convey that knowledge.

Basecamp
If there were an award for trying all of the organizational-level project management packages, we would have won it years ago. For our company and our customer, we've landed on Basecamp . While some of their corporate graphics feel naïve, the software itself is not. We particularly appreciate the ability to see everything; control access to particular projects; and overlay deadlines on our personal calendars.

Piktochart
Microsoft's PowerPoint and Google's Slides are great blank slates, but it's helpful sometimes to have a head start on visualizations. Piktochart offers that head start with free and purchased templates -- and all of the inspiration you can stand!
