First Corprenect Reverse Pitch Connects Innovators with Northrop Grumman
Fifteen entrepreneurs and innovators working in data analytics, cyber-security and artificial intelligence pitched their capabilities to Northrop Grumman on June 12 at the University of Maryland in the competition to select the first cohort in the Corprenect pilot which will work with Northrop Grumman this summer. The cohort participants will be
 announced shortly. B
owie BIC is part of the Corprenect pilot team, which is connecting innovators and entrepreneurs
with major corporations and streamlining the R&D process. Bowie BIC's other partners for
other partners for this Maryland TEDCO-funded pilot are the Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute (Mtech), Inncuvate, the Prince George's Community College Center for Entrepreneurial Development and
Training
and the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.

Five innovative product companies pitched their businesses to a panel of four entrepreneurs and investors for advice and referrals before an audience of one hundred spectators at Bowie BIC's third annual Dolphin Tank Pitch event at Kenhill Center in Bowie May 15. Two Bowie BIC clients, LTC Referrals and foodresources, llc pitched, along with Mary's Little Helper, the winner of the 2018 Bowie State University Student Idea Competition.

Clark Earns Business Incubator Manager Certification from InBIA
Crystal Clark, Operations Director and Student Liaison for Bowie BIC is now a certified Business Incubator Manager (BIM). Clark successfully completed the BIM certification program offered by International Business Innovation Association (InBIA), with a scholarship from Maryland TEDCO. Clark has served as Director of Operations since Bowie BIC opened in 2012. Congratulations, Crystal!
