What Do Employees Think of EMS ISD?

Thank you to all the employees who filled out the 2018-2019 Employee Engagement Survey. From November 27 to December 14, a total of 1,312 employees shared their thoughts and feedback about their work environments, professional  support,  development opportunities, and suggestions for continued improvement. A summary of the top results and t he district's next steps are provided on the infographic above; just click to enlarge. We now will use this information in our future planning.

While the employee survey is conducted once annually, staff members can always reach out with comments, questions, or concerns through the online Let's Talk! communications service on our website. Thank you for sharing your voice and being part of the process to make our school district even better!

You're Invited to a Special Ceremony!

Please join us on Thursday, March 7, from 5:30-6:30 pm at Boswell High School as EMS ISD and the Board of Trustees dedicate the courtyard in honor of retired teacher Sharon Young.

Sharon dedicated 45 years to the students, families, and community of Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD. From 1968 until her retirement in 2013, all her years of service were spent at Boswell High School teaching business and career preparation classes. Sharon is remembered for her infectious school spirit. A graduate of Texas Christian University, her love of Boswell blue is rivaled only by that of her love for TCU purple. She is the type of friend, her colleagues say, that they could depend on not only for a great laugh, but also to listen, and not judge, with love. While at Boswell, she greeted everyone with a smile and made them feel welcomed as a part of the Boswell family. We are #emsproud to honor her contribution to Boswell and EMS ISD with The Sharon Young Courtyard!

Spring Wellness Challenge:
Increase Self-Awareness

Evident in every successful person is a quality that arguably trumps all others - self-awareness. Research has shown that although 95 percent of people claim they are self-aware, only 10-15 percent truly are. Take a moment to self reflect on areas in your life that you would like to make changes, yet try as you might, you aren't seeing results. Make a list then commit to the five-week Spring Wellness Challenge, "Ignite Your Insight," for guidance and to gain the tools necessary to increase your self-awareness both internally and externally. The challenge starts on March 25 and ends April 26. At the end of the challenge, participants will receive a complimentary Ignite baseball cap. To view the challenge flyer, click here .
