NEPA PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLIC INFO MEETING

Please join the Richmond Highway Corridor Improvements project team for the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Public Hearing and fourth P ublic Information Meeting on Monday, Oct. 29, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (a brief presentation will begin at 7 p.m.) at Mount Vernon High School , 8515 Old Mount Vernon Road, Alexandria, VA 22309.

At the meeting, residents and stakeholders will have the opportunity to:

Learn about updates to the proposed project design
Review the Environmental Assessment as required by the National Environmental Policy Act
Discuss your questions with project staff and submit comments

ABOUT THE PROJECT

This project will improve almost three miles of Richmond Highway from Jeff Todd Way to Napper Road in Fairfax County. The proposed plans will widen the road from four to six lanes, provide separate sidewalks and bike paths on both sides of the road, and reserve the median width necessary to accommodate Fairfax County's future Bus Rapid Transit plans for dedicated bus-only lanes.
