T he latest news from the Virginia Department of Transportation on plans to improve
Richmond Highway (Route 1) from Jeff Todd Way to Napper Road in Fairfax County
NEPA PUBLIC HEARING AND  PUBLIC INFO MEETING
 

At the meeting, residents and stakeholders will have the opportunity to:
  • Learn about updates to the proposed project design
  • Review the Environmental Assessment as required by the National Environmental Policy Act 
  • Discuss your questions with project staff and submit comments

This project will improve almost three miles of Richmond Highway from Jeff Todd Way to Napper Road in Fairfax County. The proposed plans will widen the road from four to six lanes, provide separate sidewalks and bike paths on both sides of the road, and reserve the median width necessary to accommodate Fairfax County's future Bus Rapid Transit plans for dedicated bus-only lanes.
