The true story of Hollywood's greatest comedy double act, Laurel and Hardy, is brought to the big screen for the first time. Starring Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly as the inimitable movie icons, Stan and Ollie is the heart-warming story of what would become the pair's triumphant farewell tour. With their golden era long behind them, the pair embark on a variety hall tour of Britain and Ireland. Despite the pressures of a hectic schedule, and with the support of their wives Lucille (Shirley Henderson) and Ida (Nina Arianda) - a formidable double act in their own right - the pair's love of performing, as well as for each other, endures as they secure their place in the hearts of their adoring public.

IRS News
Two very important key messages that we would like to share with you:

1. IRS waives estimated tax penalty for farmers, fishermen who file tax returns and pay tax by April 15

February 28, 2019

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service will waive the estimated tax penalty for any qualifying farmer or fisherman who files his or her 2018 federal income tax return and pays any tax due by Monday, April 15, 2019. The deadline is Wednesday, April 17, 2019, for taxpayers residing in Maine or Massachusetts.

The IRS is providing this relief because, due to certain rule changes, many farmers and fishermen may have difficulty accurately determining their tax liability by the March 1 deadline that usually applies to them. For tax year 2018, an individual who received at least two-thirds of his or her total gross income from farming or fishing during either 2017 or 2018 qualifies as a farmer or fisherman.

Additional information:

  • Fact sheet on what’s new for farmers in 2018.
  • Tax tip on how tax reform affects farmers and ranchers.
  • Tax tip on how tax reform changes to depreciation deduction affect farmers’ bottom line.

2. Tax season tip: Avoid the rush and get a tax transcript online

The Internal Revenue Service reminds small business and self-employed taxpayers who need their prior-year tax records to complete their 2018 tax returns to use Get Transcript Online or Get Transcript by Mail. Both online options are faster and more convenient than a call or visit to the IRS to retrieve tax transcripts.
