As the legal body of the organization, the Board establishes policy and guidelines for programmatic activities and membership activities. Additionally, the Board leads AMAC by setting strategic direction. This requires knowledge and experience in the aviation and aerospace industries, mature judgement and the ability to influence and empower others.

Bill Walker Memorial Golf Tournament

This annual event benefits the AMAC Foundation's Scholarship program and honors one of AMAC's own tireless servants, Bill Walker. Mr. Walker's affiliation with conference began with the Los Angeles, California Conference in 1988. A golf sponsorship or ticket is required to attend this event.

Celebrating Women in Aviation

This unique breakfast highlights the personal and professional experiences of women leaders in the aviation industry. Proceeds benefit the AMAC Foundation. A ticket is required to attend this event.

Welcome to AMAC Lawrence Duncan!
 

A Washington, DC native, Lawrence Malik Duncan is currently AMAC's Diversity and Membership intern. He recently graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he earned his bachelor's in Aviation Business Administration. While at Embry-Riddle, he led positions such as Resident Advisor, Senior Class Councilman and National Business Aviation Associate. Through the university's ROTC program, he was able to commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force in May of 2018. Duncan will begin his career as a Combat Systems Officer at Naval Air Station Pensacola this fall.

Alaska Airlines' First Flight Piloted by Two African-American 

Passengers aboard an Alaska Airlines flight earlier this week became part of a landmark trip for the carrier, as it was the first of its flights to be piloted by two African-American women.

DFW's Armin José Cruz Named Parking Professional of the Year

The International Parking Institute (IPI) announced that Armin José Cruz, vice president of the Parking Business Unit at DFW International Airport in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, has been named its 2018 James M. Hunnicutt, CAPP, Parking Professional of the Year.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) told Congress it is opposed to a provision in a Senate bill that would prohibit airline fees that are not "reasonable and proportional," according to Reuters.
