I just wanted to say thank you to WCA staff, parents, and Plum Creek Church for your prayers and well wishes while my son was in the hospital with pneumonia. He is home and feeling better, but not fully recovered yet. Your kindness and thoughtfulness meant a lot to my family and I.
Sincerely,

For the 2018-19 school year, Aftercare will be available for WCA preschoolers from 3:15pm - 5:15pm Monday through Friday for $20/day. The registration fee is $75. Parents may pick and choose the days they want each week, and will need to provide their child with a light snack (no nut items) and a water bottle each time they are in Aftercare. This service is only a daycare. There will be no curriculum for Aftercare. If we have enough interest, we may consider offering Before Care from 6:30am - 8:30am at an additional fee.

Wednesday, May 23, from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.
Participants
will be responsible for choosing a project from
Science Buddies

Your
hypothesis
prior to beginning the project.
-
How you used the
scientific method.
-
Any
data (
pictures drawn or printed with explanations is fine).
-
The
conclusions
you drew at the end of the project, and what you
learned
by doing the project.
-
A demonstration: bring the end results of your project and poster board (
tri-fold recommended) for display at the science fair.
-
Students must be able to explain their project and all of the above. Please allow them to do as much of it as possible independently.
You may display your information in any way you would like, but keep in mind that displays must sit on a table and be visible as people walk by. If you have any questions, please contact Kate Parker.

Teacher Appreciation Week
Aloha! Teacher Appreciation Week is
May 7-11
! The theme this year is "Hawaiian Luau".
The WCA PTO is planning to spoil our wonderful teachers and staff each day of the week with festive decorations, tropical smoothies, treats, gifts and a Hawaiian food truck! It is sure to
be a "Tiki-riffic" week for the teachers and staff.
On Thursday,
May 10 at 1:45pm, there will be a School Assembly featuring Polynesian dancers and hula lessons!
This will also be a tropical attire dress down day for everyone (school appropriate of course).
P
lease remember to recognize and appreciate your child's teacher this week. Your child could draw a picture, write a poem, thank you card, or letter for their teacher. A small gift, coffee, flower, treats or a gift card are just a few ideas. Let's show our "WCA Ohana" (family) how much we love them and appreciate everything they do all year!
