If you have ever considered selling your house, now is the time to pull the trigger. Humboldt County's housing inventory hasn't been this scarce in a dog's age. For example, last week we saw 70 new listings hit the market, and that same week, 66 properties were put into escrow. As you can see, the same volume of listings came on the market, and then immediately left the market within that same week. Our housing climate has really benefited sellers because just about every listing turns into a bidding war which usually means the property goes over asking price. If the sound of a bidding war isn't enough to convince you, just remember that our market is the strongest its been since before the 2007/2008 recession. So even if you bought your home at the height of that market, you can make a profit by selling now.
