Finally, a reminder that the Kempe Center's call for Proposals from the International Conference on Innovations in Family Engagement is due April 1st. This conference will be held in San Diego, CA from November 19-22.  We do not expect any polar vortex episodes in San Diego, so please consider submitting a proposal to present your good work at this conference, and mark your calendars now!  Also please distribute this announcement to your colleagues!

CONTINUUM OF CARE REFORM: IMPROVING PERMANENCY OUTCOMES AND REPAIRING OUT OF HOME CARE

The Judicial Council of California, Center for Families, Children & the Courts invites you to register for this regional training bringing together judicial officers, attorneys, social workers, probation officers, and others. The course will focus on the changing landscape of child welfare and how that change affects the court and court partners. This course will focus on promoting normalcy for children in our foster care system. Continuum of Care reform not only limits the use of congregate care, it mandates the reasonable prudent parent standard for all caregivers and requires juvenile court stakeholders to find legal and emotional permanency for our children in foster care. This course will focus on the normal healthy development of the older youth in our juvenile court system.

The Kempe Center, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, is excited to announce the Call for Proposals for the International Conference on Innovations in Family Engagement, November 19-22, 2019, in San Diego, California. The conference encourages a focus on the effort being made through Differential Response, Family Group Decision Making and other family engagement approaches to achieve genuine partnership with families. This Call for Proposals has been created to seek applicants from across the U.S. and internationally to present on a range of topics.
  
  
The deadline for presentation submissions is April 1, 2019.
