Beginning Sun Apr 8, hymnals will be available on carts instead of under chairs. Congregants are asked to pick up a gray and teal hymnal when they arrive and return the hymnals to the cart as they leave. The ushers are happy to assist anyone with questions. (Some hymnals will still be kept under chairs in the Fireside Area.) We hope this change will make it easier for everyone!

Shared Earth, Shared Faith

The five Westchester UU congregations will gather here to share a worship service on Earth Day that will include ministers and musicians from both our congregation and our UU neighbors. This service will allow us to share our beautiful space and will give us a larger sense of our community and shared faith. It also lets us get to know one another better!

UUA Common Read Book Discussion

After the all-county worship, we will gather to discuss the UUA Common Read book Centering: Navigating Race, Authenticity and Power in Ministry, a collection of essays describing the experiences of religious professionals of color in Unitarian Universalism. The UUA is urging congregations to read Centering as an act of faithful engagement with religious professionals of color at a time when reflection and conversation are needed. Facilitated by Chandeerah Davis, our Youth Program Coordinator and Jeff Tomlinson of the Racial Justice Team. You may purchase a copy at coffee hour.

The LOFT: LGBT Community Center

Share the Plate for April: Murray Grove
This month we share half our non-pledge collection with Murray Grove Retreat and Renewal Center, the only Unitarian Universalist conference center in the Metro area and the site traditionally considered to be where Universalism in America began. Among the many camps, trainings, retreats, and workshops offered is the program our Coming of Age classes attend as part of their journey to creating a statement of faith.
