Mount Union Colleagues,

As we near the end of the first week of our safe campus reopening, we wanted to share with you some important campus updates.
YOUR GUIDE FOR RETURNING TO WORK
We want to remind you that the institution has created Your Guide for Returning to Work, which offers additional details and guidelines that will enable the institution to safely reopen campus and appropriately protect your health and well-being. With that in mind, we ask that you submit the Confirmation of Receipt and Review form, if you haven’t already, to acknowledge that you have read the document in its entirety.
IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS
As members of the Mount Union community, we must be sensitive to and respectful of our colleagues’ varying levels of comfort with regard to returning to work. We also must recognize that we all share in the responsibility of ensuring our safety and well-being as well as that of others on campus. The following are some important reminders for those working on campus, including student employees, regarding institutional requirements that align the Responsible RestartOhio protocols. Please see Your Guide for Returning to Work for additional details.

  • Employees working on campus should be prepared to wear an appropriate face covering unless they meet one of the exceptions identified by the state. As a general rule of thumb, you should be using a face covering unless you are working alone in an assigned work area. Thus, face coverings are necessary when in common areas, when entering another person’s workspace, and anytime six feet of social distance cannot be assured.

  • When working on campus, employees are expected to maintain appropriate social distancing, which includes remaining out of congregate settings, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining distances of approximately six feet from others when possible. Before physically visiting individuals on campus, ask yourself if the purpose of the visit could be achieved via phone or email.

  • Employees working on campus should continue to follow personal hygiene recommendations, including washing your hands frequently, cleaning and disinfecting frequently-touched objects and surfaces, and refraining from sharing personal items with others.

  • Prior to arriving on campus for work each day, you must conduct symptom monitoring, including your temperature, and be free of any symptoms potentially related to COVID-19.

Remember, b e kind. Understand that this is a stressful time for everyone, and an extra bit of kindness right now can go a long w ay.
