GBA Welcomes New Members Entegrus, KWHCoin, & Wexus Technologies!
Entegrus Powerlines
Entegrus brings electricity, renewable energy, and water services to over 58,000 customers in southwestern Ontario. Entegrus Powerlines provides safe, sustainable, and reliable power to Entegrus customers in the communities of Chatham-Kent, Strathroy-Caradoc, St. Thomas, Mount Brydges, Parkhill, Dutton and Newbury. The company provides billing services, meter reading, customer support for billing and account questions, and a 24/7 automated service to access account balance and payment history. 
KWHCoin is a blockchain-based energy company, ecosystem and token backed by units of clean renewable energy. KWHCoin's vision is to provide a viable solution for the 1.2 billion people who currently lack access to energy. Physical units of kWh energy are leveraged from multiple sources including smart meters, sensor readings and Green Button data. This measurable output is tokenized on the blockchain to create KWH tokens.
Wexus Technologies, Inc. is an IoT software company that empowers farmers and food processors to automate tasks and reporting, reduce waste and costs, and drive energy and water efficiency with our technology platform that remotely accesses utility data and billing systems. 
PG&E Simplifies Click-through Process for Customers
In February, PG&E simplified the click-through process for its customers accessing and sharing their energy consumption data through PG&E's Share My Data Green Button platform. By simplifying User Authorization, PG&E streamlined its customer experience to only two screens and four clicks for desktop and mobile devices; completing Phase 1 of its "Click-Through Solution 3" deployment.

23 April: "Access to Data: Bridging the Electricity Grid Into the Information Age" by Coley Girouard, Advanced Energy Economy (AEE). Green Button standard noted as leading standard for utility data exchange.
 
11 April: Washington D.C. council members introduced the " Distributed Energy Resources Act of 2018to modernize the District of Columbia's energy grid. The new DER Authority would house real-time energy use data in a central location and create a marketplace for D.C. businesses and residents to contribute renewable energy toward the District's energy supply.

27 March: Energy Consumers Australia's "Consumer Access to Energy Data" response to government consultations on implementing Australia's Consumer Data Right for energy; Green Button Connect My Data noted.
