Celebrate National Trails Day in Arvada
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

  • Start the day by jumping onto Arvada’s trails at 9 am with a 5-mile Family Bike Ride or a 15-mile Recreational Bike Ride. Arrive 15 minutes early for sign-in, bike prep and meet ‘n’ greet at the Majestic View Park North Parking Lot (W. 72nd Ave just West of Carr St.) See what Arvada’s trails have to offer and discover the wildlife that lives among them. Parking will be available at both sites (Two Ponds parking at 80th and Kipling; Majestic View parking at 7030 Garrison St.).

  • Then, relax on a stroll down the trails to visit the many outdoor, nature and educational booths at both Two Ponds and Majestic View.

  • Ralston Creek Cohousing will be sharing a booth with the Geos Development. Come meet the current members and learn about the vision for Ralston Creek Cohousing and the Geos Neighborhood Development.
We hope to see you there!

Aerial Photos of the Geos Development

Below are aerial photos of the Geos Development that were taken very recently. Two of the photos show the future location of Ralston Creek Cohousing's building, which we call the "Gatehouse". We are very excited to be able to share these with you!

We invite you to participate in building your dream community.

Ralston Creek CoHousers have a two-step process to membership.

  • Come to some events and get to know us. Then we hope you'll become an Explorer.

  • As an Explorer you will be invited to join us for meetings, social events, and one on one conversations, all with the goal of you getting to know us, getting all your questions answered, and allowing us to get to know you. Explorers are encouraged to participate in meetings, but not in decision making. An Explorer invests $250 (non-refundable).

  • If you are interested in moving forward to Full Membership and the community agrees that it's a good fit, you will be invited into Full Membership.

  • A Full Member invests $1000 (non-refundable and currently being used for marketing/website/professional fees).

Member Profile
Victoria Baker

I am a nurse-midwife with four sons, but I have never been pregnant. I have one of those newfangled families, so you’ll just have to ask me for the details. I have practiced obstetrics and public health nursing in New York City, Los Angeles, Nicaragua, and Denver. Now I teach nurse-midwives and nurse practitioners on the web. I live in Colorado, but my students and colleagues live all over the US, and sometimes beyond! I enjoy sewing, reading, and movies, especially superhero movies. I love that Wonder Woman got her own movie. Finally! I like to go out to eat with the kids and grandkids. Most of all, I like to snuggle with my spouse (Bob Clemans) or our cats. The kids, the grandkids, the cats, and I all agree that Bob is the best backscratcher ever.
I can’t wait for the Gatehouse to open and I can move in with the rest of the Ralston Creek CoHousers! We have been working with Norbert, our developer, watching him create a walkable, sustainable community of new neighbors and friends for me to meet.

I have grown to appreciate the other cohousers’ range of talents, qualities, and quirks. Soon, I will be looking down into the courtyard and see Debbie or Carl sitting with a cup of coffee; then I can take a break from scoring papers and join them. For my exercise breaks, I can ride my bike down Ralston Creek. And, when families move in, I can offer parents or kids a sympathetic ear, as my neighbors did when I was a single mother. Outstanding.
