It's the west coast event that features some of the most exquisite feline dream homes ever imagined.   Architects for Animals hosted this fundraiser that displayed innovative designs for cat shelters to benefit  Fix Nation,  a nonprofit that neuters and spays homeless cats. History: Post Office Cats

Cats on salary? You bet!  In the early days of the UK's Royal Mail, cats played an important role in keeping underground facilities clear of vermin.  "Dogs tended to be mascots for post offices,They were kept by the postal employees as pets, whereas cats were viewed more as working animals."
