New Series Starting This Sunday
By the people - For the people

This week Ryan Hall will share a powerful story about fears and struggles and how through them he met God's grace.

We all have fears and struggles.
Ryan's story will speak right into our hearts of what we might fear and struggle with the most.
But more than just about what we fear, his story is primarily about God's grace.
Then God's grace will invite us to share communion together.

Audubon Home Plants for Birds
We are excited to announce that Crossroads has been awarded a grant from the Audubon at Home Plants for Birds Burke Grant program! Crossroads is one of six faith communities in Northern Virginia to be awarded $1,250 for native plants to create a demonstration garden. The goal of the Burke Grant program is to support network Plants for Birds activities that will increase visibility, reach and impact of Audubon's Plants for Birds programming across the country.

Over the coming months Crossroads will be converting the existing beds in front of Entrance 1 into native plant beds. These native plant gardens will be used to educate everyone who visits Crossroads on the importance of native plant gardens throughout our communities. Jesus taught us to be good stewards of the whole Earth and Crossroads is committed to showing the way!

Lots of help will be needed in preparing the beds and planting the new plants. This is a wonderful way for new and existing gardening enthusiasts to get involved in a great project.   If you are interested please register here! If you have any questions, please contact Kathy MacKrell.

Crossroads is Getting a Face Lift!

The wind storm Ashburn experienced in March of this year caused a great deal of damage to our 25+ year old roof. Frequent repairs over the years had us at the point of formulating a plan for replacement but funds for such an expensive undertaking were short. The damage caused by the March storm actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise because our insurance company is now covering
the cost to replace the entire roof.

Work began on  July 9th.  Due to the complicated design of the roof, work may go on for 3-4 weeks. The roofing contractor will not be working on weekends but if you stop by during the week, please be cautious entering the building and parking lot.   We are very grateful for the gift of this new roof!

Nature and Soul Events
We are celebrating the launch of a new ministry at Crossroads we are calling Nature and Soul!

Jesus said "And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?"  Matthew 16:26

Each of these experiences is designed to share the restorative gifts of God revealed in nature to nurture your mind, body and soul.   Every major medical school is recognizing the healing reality of nature.

The heavens are declaring the glory of God;  and the firmament proclaims God's handiwork.
Day to day pours forth speech,  and night to night declares knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words;  their voice is not heard;
yet their voice goes out through all the earth,  and their words to the end of the world.
Psalm 19:1-4
