December 8: Annual Member Meeting
All New England Council members are invited to join us for a virtual Annual Member Meeting on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, from 12:45 - 1:00 p.m.. The purpose of this meeting is to elect and qualify to serve on the Council's Board those persons nominated for such election by the existing Board members during the calendar year, as required in the Council's Bylaws. The virtual meeting will be brief and will begin with a brief presentation by President & CEO Jim Brett providing an overview of the Council's key accomplishments in 2020, and some of the plans in place for 2021. That presentation will be followed by a vote. We appreciate our members taking the time to join us for this important meeting to elect our Board Members.

Partnerships for the Talent Pipeline 4th Edition
Directory Highlights Over 100 Education-Industry Partnerships to Prepare Workforce
On November 16, 2020, The New England Council released the 4th edition of  "Partnerships for the Talent Pipeline: Directory of New England Education-Industry Partnerships."  This updated version of the directory--which was first released in the fall of 2016 and updated in 2018 and 2019--highlights over 100 programs affiliated with educational institutions throughout New England which aim to connect students and employers in order to strengthen our regional workforce.

The new edition also includes a set of broad policy priorities that the Council has developed in collaboration with members.  We believe that the adoption of these federal policy priorities would be beneficial to the continuation and expansion of these effective partnership programs.

For more information on the directory or the Council's work on higher education issues, please contact Taylor Pichette.
