The North Florida TPO is the independent regional transportation planning agency for Duval and surrounding counties. Executive Director Jeff Sheffield will speak about the organization's efforts in planning and mobilizing resources to maintain our transportation system.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Our meeting last week was filled with lots of great information about how the Jacksonville Memorial Wall was created. Ray Moore was the guest speaker, the founder and visionary behind this important landmark honoring those who gave their lives in service to our country. He is to be commended for his unwavering dedication to get the wall funded and coordinating the installation of names on 150 feet of black granite.
This week our speaker is Jeff Sheffield, Executive Director of the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization. It'll be interesting to hear the latest developments regarding Jacksonville's transportation systems. We'll also have our monthly Table Talk business networking session at this meeting, so bring a guest and introduce them to our club!

MONTHLY TABLE TALKS
Remember that we are holding our monthly "Table Talk" every third Wednesday of the month. At these meetings, we will forgo having a Spotlight Speaker and instead use the time to facilitate networking and business growth directly from your lunch table, using a set of structured discussion questions. Our next Table Talk will be Wednesday, July 18.

CLAY SHOOT COMMITTEE MEETING - JULY 16
The Clay Shoot Committee is gearing up for SBMC's 5th Annual Charity Clay Shoot benefiting Duval County JROTC. To date our club has provided college & trade school scholarships to hard working local cadets, financed the replacing of competition uniforms for a lower income area school (which were years beyond their useful life) and helped fund the wrapping of a competition trailer. Last year our Clay Shoot Committee set a new record of raising over $28,000, so this year we've set our sights on
$30,000!

MONTHLY GOLF OUTING - JULY 20
Hidden Hills is an Arnold Palmer Signature layout, known for its intriguing curves and contours and rolling fairways, a setting that you don't often find in Florida. It was the site of the Greater Jacksonville Open, a tournament that eventually evolved into what is now the TPC Sawgrass. Among winners at this course were Gary Player, Tony Jacklin and Don January.
