Friday, April 13, 6-8 PM

Elementary families - grab your dinner and meet us at the park for a sweet time together! Bring your family, your neighbors, your dinner, a frisbee (or whatever game you'd like) and hang out with us at at Francis Beatty Park, Medium Shelter #2! We will bring the popsicles. HisAbilities Informational Gathering and Lunch
Sunday, April 15 | 12:30 PM
For anyone who wants to know more about our HisAbilities ministry (which serves and ministers to those affected by disability) or has been thinking about getting involved, please join us on Sunday, April 15, immediately after morning worship in the lower school cafeteria (Building C) for a free barbecue lunch! This event is for members of the HisAbilities community and those who want to learn more about the ministry. Please RSVP to Kelsey Cawthorn so that we will have enough lunch for you! Women's Beach Getaway
April 20-22
The Women's Ministry is hosting a weekend at the Ocean Crest Motel in Oak Island for a few days of rest, refreshment, and fellowship! For more information and to register, CLICK HERE. The deadline to register is this coming Monday, April 9. 

Youth Spring Retreat
April 27-29
Our middle school and high school youth will combine for their spring retreat the weekend of April 27-29 and go to Camp Thunderbird in Lake Wylie, SC, to join other youth groups in our presbytery for "What it means to have the Holy Spirit." The cost is $135. Registration closes Sunday, April 15, at midnight. Register by clicking here.

Vacation Bible School 2018
June 18-22
Vacation Bible school at Christ Covenant Church is a mission of our Seek the City youth mission week, June 18-22. Registration will open on May 1. VBS is free and open to children ages 5-11. (Note: Children must be 5 on or before June 18, 2018, to be able to participate.) Please encourage your friends and neighbors to register their children for this transforming week. Information and registration will be on our Seek the City webpage, so look for it soon!

Matthews HELP Center  
ProjectSHARE is collecting items to help Matthews HELP Center. The mission of Matthews HELP Center is to help their neighbors and those in surrounding communities survive financial crises providing short-term assistance. For the list of items that we are collecting, please see our ProjectSHARE webpage. Donations can be dropped off at the Information Desk any Sunday in April. Thank you for your donations!

Les Misérables Tickets
Tickets for Covenant Day's first spring dramatic production of Les Misérables are now on sale. Covenant Day implements reserved seating to enhance your overall experience. In the past, tickets to Covenant Day's productions have sold out fast, so make sure to order your tickets soon! Performances are Thursday, April 26, at 7 PM; Friday, April 27, at 7 PM; and Saturday, April 28, at 7 PM. To purchase tickets, click here.

Summer Camps at Covenant Day
Covenant Day is hosting more than 25 summer camps this summer for students in grades TK-12! The CDS summer camp program is designed to inspire, challenge, and equip our students, neighbors, and community with a variety of hands-on learning, playing, and creating opportunities that seize summer's invitation for fun and exploration. Led by a passionate team of CDS faculty and staff, our summer camp leaders are committed to nurturing students in the love of God and formation of Christian character. Welcome Cross Covenant Chinese Church!
This Christ Covenant-supported church plant is now worshipping on Sundays in our Community Life Center chapel at 10:45 a.m. They are also meeting for Sunday school on our campus. Welcome to this new church plant! We'll have a story about this church and where their classes meet in our worship folder next Sunday (April 15). Harry Reeder at Reformed Theological Seminary 
April 9 | 10 AM-1 PM & April 10 | 10-11:45 AM 
Christ Covenant's founding pastor, Dr. Harry Reeder, will be at RTS Charlotte next week. On Monday, April 9, Dr. Reeder will lead a Church Planting Center seminar: "Best Principles & Practices from Three Non-Negotiable Leadership Principles of a Church Planter" from 10 AM-1 PM (lunch included), primarily for pastors and students, however all are welcome to attend. Please RSVP to  [email protected]
     Then, on Tuesday, April 10, he will speak at their 10 AM chapel service. This is a 30-minute informal time of worship, so come as you are! After chapel (until 11:45 AM), you are also welcome to stop in the RTS bookstore/coffee say hello and get a visit in with Dr. Reeder. 

Pro-Life Training Academy (PTLA)
Saturday, April 14 | 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Articulate and respectfully defend the pro-life position. Learn the facts and answer the tough questions. Learn how to be confident, even in a hostile setting. Christ Covenant Church will host this day-long seminar in Room 1&2 of our Community Life Center. The event is FREE with lunch provided (an offering will be taken). Our April Missionaries of the Week are based in the US.

Gary & Dotsie Corwin
SIM-USA, Charlotte
 
Gary serves as missiologist with SIM's international office. Dotsie is the editor of SIM's primary internal communication vehicle, Intercom.

Pray for creativity and wisdom as Gary works on summer conference preparations for Bridging the Divide, leading seminars and other sessions in South Africa, serving on two boards, and working on articles and other projects. Pray for the Lord's guidance for Dotsie as she chooses articles for Intercom, and then edits and designs the publication.
