Annual Boat Cruise
ICNC will be hosting its Annual Boat Cruise aboard the Anita Dee II!  If you're interested in an afternoon of relaxing and an opportunity to build great new relationships, the ICNC Boa t Cruise is where you'll want to be. The cruise experience will include an open bar and refreshments.

The First Impact Culinary Training Program Session has Begun!
The first cohort of the Impact Culinary Training Program began on June 24th! The program aims to provide the 17 young adult students with 8 weeks of culinary training in the kitchen, followed by 4 weeks of experience working in a restaurant during an internship. Recruitment for the next cohort will begin at the end of Summer. Read about the program from Block Club Chicago, Frontera, and WBEZ. Learn more about the program here
Kinzie Framework Plan Passes Plan Commission
On May 16, the Chicago Plan Commission unanimously passed the Department of Planning & Development's Kinzie Framework Plan. The Plan Commission's approval reaffirms the City's mission to maintain the Kinzie Corridor as an economic engine and vital job center, provide better access for all transportation modes, and enhance the area's unique built environment. An additional community meeting to inform the public of specific allowed uses in the Planned Manufacturing District is to be determined. Please keep a look out for future ICNC notices regarding the meeting date. Contact Hannah with questions.

Chicago Brewing District's  Dancing in the Streets  is back for its second year! The West Town Chamber of Commerce is working with On Tour Brewing and the Chicago Brewing District to produce this one-of-a-kind craft beer and jam band event on August 3rd and 4th.
