Rebecca Baker (Bracewell LLP) will present " An Employer's View of the New Labor Board on the Block " for 1.5 hours MCLE credit, no ethics from  8 to 9:30 a.m.  at the  Marathon Oil Tower .
For approximately two years, the National Labor Relations Board has lacked a full five members. Pending confirmations, a complete Board looks to be the first Republican majority board in 10 years. This seminar will review what employers, in both union and non-union settings, might expect from a Board that looks strikingly different from the last decade. It will include discussion of recordings in the workplace, company email, joint employer status, political speech, and the status quo or sea of change.

LaVerne Chang (Cardwell & Chang, P.L.L.C.) will present " Accessing Medical Information In and Out of Litigation " for 1.5 hours MCLE credit, no ethics from  1 to 2:30 p.m.  at the  Heritage Plaza  First Floor Conference Room .
This seminar will address the scope of health care information obtainable and information that is protected, tips on obtaining specific medical information, obtaining health care information in the context of a lawsuit, and authorization for release of health care information in health care and other lawsuits. It will also cover obtaining health care information outside of litigation and authorization for release of health care information to next of kin.
Attendance is free for HBA members and no pre-registration is required.
