Census Forms Start Printing Without A Citizenship Question
On Thursday, June 27, the Supreme Court of the United States issued a 5-4 rejection of the Trump Administration's rationale to include a question asking about citizenship on the 2020 Census. The Court left in place a lower court's ruling to block the question for now.

After the ruling, the printing of census questionnaires without a citizenship question started.

However, at a separate lower court hearing on Friday, July 5, the Trump Administration indicated that they are investigating other legal avenues to getting a question on citizenship on the census.

MNN was pleased with the Supreme Court ruling and will continue to follow this issue. Public education on the importance of the 2020 Census in traditionally hard-to-count communities will be needed. Nonprofits are trusted messengers and are in unique positions to promote participation. Resources for nonprofits can be found here .
Survey On Nonprofit Transportation Tax
Last month, the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee approved legislation,  H.R. 3300 , that would repeal the 21 percent  tax on nonprofit transportation benefits , such as parking and transit passes. Nonprofits affected by this tax can take a  quick survey  to provide helpful information that will be used to demonstrate impact on the sector as conversations on the Hill continue.
