St. Luke's Book Club for June
* NOTE CHANGE TO THE MEETING DATE & TIME* We are changing from the Second Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm to the FOURTH TUESDAY of each month at 6pm, so this coming meeting will be on June 26 at 6:00. Our book selection for June is  The Hellfire Club written by Jake Tapper, CNN chief Washington correspondent and New York Times bestselling author of, The Outpost-- the heartbreaking but inspiring saga of one of the most deadly battles of the Afghanistan war.

Tapper has followed with The Hellfire Club, just-released 1950's D.C. intrigue at its finest.  Charlie Nader, a WWII veteran, and new, unlikely Congressman is slammed into office by family ties after his predecessor dies mysteriously.   Charlie struggles in navigating the dangerous waters of D. C. with his young wife Margaret, a zoologist with her own ambitions.

Swirling, glamorous D. C. life, powerful political leaders, and a mysterious fatal auto accident thrust Charlie and Margaret into an underworld of backroom deals, secret societies, and a possible world course changing plot.  Charlie discovers conspiracy at the highest governmental levels and must fight for his principals, new political career and, far more important,  his life.

MEETING INFO : Lyman House, June 26, FOURTH (4TH) Tuesday monthly at 6:00 PM *NOTICE THE DATE & TIME CHANGE * for 2+- hours of rousing conversations and introductions to books of almost every genre. At the end of each meeting, we discuss books for the next month's selection, so bring your suggestions with you.

Centering Prayer
Please join us for Centering Prayer on June 26, at 6pm in the church.

We meet every fourth Tuesday of the month.

Wednesday Walks on the Anchorage Trail
Join us at the Anchorage Trail each Wednesday at 8:30 AM (weather permitting) for an invigorating walk along the trail that leads us thru a wildflower meadow where you might see deer, colorful birds, turtles and other species of both animals and plants.

After our walk, we can come to St. Luke's to hear the word of God at our Wednesday morning Bible Study. Looking forward to being "on the trail again!"
