Frank Garcia has been appointed Vice President of Operations for Miami based Nicklaus Children's Hospital, responsible for overseeing the Emergency Department, LifeFlight Critical Care Transport Program, as well as the radiology, laboratory and pharmacy services for the 289-bed pediatric specialty hospital. In this role Mr. Garcia oversees nearly 500 staff members within the health system. Mr. Garcia has been with Nicklaus Children's for more than 13 years, most recently as Regional Director of Ambulatory Services, providing administrative and operational leadership for Nicklaus Children's ambulatory centers in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Prior to joining Nicklaus Children's, he served as a Regional Operations Director for DaVita and Director of Managed Care for Mercy Hospital. Mr. Garcia has a master's degree in health services administration from Barry University and a bachelor's degree from Florida International University.

Boca Raton Regional Hospital recently announced the appointment of John Roberts, MD, MBA, to the medical staff of the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute and BocaCare Physician Network at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Dr. Roberts is a board-certified thoracic surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive thoracic surgery, including thoracoscopy, robotic surgery and other surgical treatments of lung and esophageal cancers.

Dr. Roberts earned his medical degree with honors from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut and earned his Masters of Business (MBA) at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. His postgraduate training included an internship and residency program in surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where he served as chief resident in surgery and completed an oncology and trauma fellowship. Dr. Roberts went on to complete an additional residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Brigham & Women's Hospital, affiliate of Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
