Principal's Message
October 24, 2019

"Lord, help me to foster in my heart a life of prayer.  Help me to seek You always and to always be prepared for You when You come.
 Jesus, I trust in You."

At St. Catherine of Siena School we begin and end each and every day with prayer.  These moments in prayer allow us begin and end each day in the presence of Christ.  It is also important for all of us to commit a time each day for prayer in our personal lives.  These moments spent in prayer help each one of us to grow in our relationship with God.  In a world that seems uncomfortable with silence and focuses on distraction, maybe we can challenge ourselves to spend time in silent prayer where we can speak to God and He can speak to us.

We had high hopes that this Sunday's weather would be an improvement over last Sunday.  Unfortunately, weather forecasters are predicting a 100% chance of rain.  Because we are unable to use the Family Center this year for Trunk or Treat, we are going to be rescheduling the event for Wednesday, October 30 from 3:00-4:30.  Children will follow their regular dismissal schedules.  Children who stay after school for after care will attend Trunk or Treat with our after care teachers if their parents are unable to attend.  If your child's regular dismissal plan will be changing because of Trunk or Treat, please send a note or email to the office.  James Palmieri has graciously offered to assist in the parking lot with set up that afternoon.  We are hoping that a 3:00 start will give parents enough time to set up their trunks for the event. We realize that this may not be ideal, but our only other option was to cancel the event.  Please know that we are doing our best and much time and consideration went into making this decision.  Your patience and understanding are much appreciated.
