Meet New Member MLB Residential Lending, LLC:

Michael is a well qualified, results-oriented Mortgage Loan Originator who has been in the industry since 2000 and has an intense passion for this business. In addition, he is also a licensed Real Estate instructor for continuing education since 2013. He believes in educating first and selling second. Home ownership, when executed properly, allows for a higher quality of life and he is proud to play a role in improving the lives of others. The mortgage process can be very complex and regulated. It should not be done with a bank that sees a borrower as another number. The transaction requires an expert with a great team behind them in order to keep things flowing smoothly. That expert is Michael and the team is MLB Residential Lending.

The way Michael does business is very simple. He measures twice and cuts once. Purchasing a home is one of the largest investments a person will make in his or her lifetime. Michael takes the time to meet with every one of his borrowers to learn their long-term and short-term goals and expectations. Every borrower is unique and he uses his expertise and knowledge to educate his borrowers on the process and caters a loan that best fits each borrower's lifestyle. Communication is
also vital to the way he does business. Michael and his team keep all of his borrowers up to date on a weekly basis making it possible to always hit their targets and goals.

Union County ELC Breakfast with
Senatorial Candidate Bob Hugin:
Friday, July 20, 2018
8:00 - 9:30 AM

Holiday Inn, Clark
36 Valley Road

Bob Hugin says he is running for United States Senate to ensure that opportunity is available for future generations growing up in every single community in New Jersey.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Mr. Hugin grew up in a diverse, hardworking neighborhood in Union City, Hudson County.  He was the first person in his family to attend college, earning a full scholarship to Princeton University. After graduation, Mr. Hugin joined the United States Marine Corps where he served as an active duty infantry officer from 1976 to 1983. Mr. Hugin participated in multiple deployments and was an instructor at the Landing Force Training Command, Atlantic.

As a Reserve Officer from 1983 to 1990, his assignments included commanding officer roles in Virginia and Battalion staff officer assignments in New York. Upon leaving active duty in 1983, he earned his MBA from the Darden School of Graduate Business Administration at the University of Virginia and in 1985, he joined J.P. Morgan, ultimately leading several businesses and rising to be a Managing Director.

Most recently Mr. Hugin spent the last 19 years as a leader in healthcare and vocal advocate for modernizing the American healthcare system, serving as Chairman and CEO of the Celgene Corporation and as a Trustee of the Atlantic Health System for the last decade. Under Mr. Hugin's leadership and through the work of its employees, that company was transformed into one of New Jersey's largest private sector employers - an innovative biotech company that is now known around the world for leading the fight against cancer and chronic disease.

Mr. Hugin volunteers his time serving on the Board of Trustees of Princeton University, the Darden Foundation at UVA, and Family Promise, a national non-profit network assisting homeless families. He also serves on the NJ-based think tank Garden State Initiative and is the President of the trustees of his church. Bob also previously served on the board of Choose New Jersey and as past Chairman of the Healthcare Institute of NJ.

At home Bob and his wife of thirty years, Kathy, are the proud parents of three children. Daughter Hilary and sons Robbie and Mac.

The Generosity Series will be back in Oak Ridge Park on June 8, 2019 for another very powerful fundraising opportunity for your organization.

Generosity NJ's 5th annual multi-charity 5K walk/run just last month saw 8 nonprofit organizations raise over $120,000, achieving an unheard of $715.52 average raise per participant! This number is more than 20 times the national 5K average!

Participating charities: The Gateway Family YMCA, Second Street Youth Foundation, Essex County Family Justice Center, Restore Ministries, Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey, Esophageal Cancer Action Network, The Theater Project, and Homefirst.

Take a look at this short video to get a taste of a live Generosity event: https://Vimeo.com/273584551

Generosity handles the traditional planning for this event, leaving the charities end to focus solely on recruiting fundraising participants (for which we provide directional support).

Generosity has raised over 7.4 million for our charity partners, and we do not take a penny of your fundraising or registration dollars.

"Generosity's event saw a greater ROI than any other event we have ever put on. We raised more than our own GALA,  and it was easy to do." - Robert McGuire, Executive Director, Cerebral Palsy Nassau County, NY

Teens for Teens Donates Funds for Residents of the Adolescent Psychiatry Specialty Program at Trinitas

Members of Teens for Teens of Union County recently donated $26,000 to provide new furnishings for patient rooms for the teens that live at the New Point Specialty, the adolescent psychiatry program at Trinitas Regional Medical Center. The donation was presented in the form of a check at Trinitas' 12th annual Academic Awards Program in June. The New Point Specialty is a 15-bed behavioral residential treatment program for adolescents ages 14 to 18.

The Teens for Teens volunteer organization was formed in 2013 when founder, Mitchell Kelly a high school sophomore at the time, and a few of his friends decided to make a difference in their own community, specifically with teens who were less fortunate. Each year, they hold a Gala reception with a silent auction and teen performances to raise money for various causes.

This year, their fifth annual charity gala to benefit New Point Specialty was held in May at the Stonehouse at Stirling Ridge. There were 280 attendees.

"It was a wonderful event with live teen performers as well as speakers including New Point Specialty students," says Samira Morin, an 18-year-old Westfield resident, has been involved for the past four years, and is currently the organization's President. "Through donations, raffle and silent auctions, we were able to raise $26,000.

"I am beyond impressed with how Teens for Teens has grown throughout the years," added Morin, a graduate of the Academy for Information Technology in Scotch Plains, who is bound for UCLA this fall. "I am even more excited to see how the group of amazing underclassmen who have just begun to get involved will carry the group forward in the upcoming years."

Over the years, the team has raised about $125,000 for five different organizations: Robin's Nest, Imagine, Liam's Room, Roots & Wings, and New Point Specialty. Coco Herz, the current Vice President, will take over as President next year, and other members include: Dom Palumbo, Matt Ruane, Sean Hough, Julia Sackett, Georgiana Katsingris, Andrea Morin, Joy Mulzoff, Julia Bell, Kiley Parker, Maddie Hagar, and Nikki Fiore.

"It was lovely for them to choose Trinitas this year," says Nadine Brechner, Chief Development Officer and Vice President of the Trinitas Health Foundation. "They are a very ambitious and generous bunch."
