Extended Forms 1040 for individuals and Forms 709 for gifts are due October 15. We should have all your information by now, and please get those signed authorization forms back to us promptly! Returns filed after this date may incur additional fees for penalties and interest.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and there is a lot to be concerned about these days:
For parents, virtual learning has exposed their kids to more time online and more potential threats.
  • For job-seekers, phishing scams and fake job postings abound - always go directly to the source website for information.
  • Individuals and small businesses should beware of new scams using your identity to apply for SBA relief loans (including one that adds "Farm" to your name).
  • Another new scheme involves home-sellers whose addresses are being used to apply for unemployment benefits through mail fraud.
  • Awaiting the release of iPhone 12? Don't fall for any text messages or emails offering "free trials!"
GOOD NEWS! All 3 credit reporting agencies are offering free weekly credit reports through April 2021 at annualcreditreport.com.
