April 2018 Prayers
" For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." Colossians 1:13-14
Week 1: April 1-8
Easter Blessings: We are grateful for the boundless love of God, who loved us so much He gave His only Son so that we may have eternal life.

Prayers of thanks for the safe arrival of Steven Mukawa, an Information Technology specialist who is the first Fellow in the Augustine Fellowship Program . May his work at the SIM ELWA Hospital in Liberia augment his experience and skill set, helping him strengthen capacity of the nursing college where he works in Malawi.
Week 2: April 9-16
We thank God for the success of a sustainable 40,000 gallons of water per day solar water supply for Shirati Hospital in Tanzania for Phase 1 of the solar electric power plant and for a donor who agreed to buy a much-needed ambulance. 

Prayers of thanks for the outreach and educational ministry of SIM's Bob Carter, MD . Bob spoke at the Christian Medical and Dental Association Continuing Medical and Dental Commission Educational Conference in Greece on "HIV Education for Church and Community" and on "Family Planning for Church and Community." Pray for acceptance of his message and the role of the church in healthcare. 
Week 3: April 17-23
Please join Isaiah 58 Care Foundation in Nigeria to pray for healing and financial resources for rehabilitation of a young man suffering from mental illness, anemia and serious injuries.

Pray for an individual CCIH member who has applied for an exemption from the U.S. Geographic Travel Restriction into territory in Asia. He is committed to his work to provide clean water to the people struggling in that area.
Week 4: April 24-30
World Immunization Week is April 24-30. Pray for continued progress in vaccine development and distribution. Prayers of thanks for all the organizations and healthcare workers providing vaccines to protect communities from disease.

Merci pour un projet de planning familial que la Communauté Baptiste au Centre de l'Afrique a développé dans 6 districts de 18 hôpitaux et centres de santé en République Démocratique du Congo. Priez pour la formation à l'éducation en matière de santé reproductive que l'église a récemment lancée. Priez que les barrières culturelles soient surmontées.

Prayers of thanks for a Family Planning project that the Communauté Baptiste au Centre de L'Afrique/Departement de la Santé is implementing in 6 districts in 18 hospitals and health centers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Pray for reproductive health education training the church has recently launched. Pray that cultural barriers will be overcome.

We are grateful to God for the work He is doing through Browne Academy ministries in Liberia. The Browne community clinic provides medication and treatment at no cost to pregnant women and children from 0 to 5. Pray that the ministry will find partners and resources to expand its work.
