The Wine Merchant is ramping up delivery and curb-side pick up options for you, our loyal customers. If you've been hankering for a classic Italian Cold-Cut, an Angry Russian, Shrimp Salad, Crab Cake or any one of our signature pasta salads - but are unable to do so, look no further.  Don't let your tummy growl any longer, and don't fret over cold Spaghetti leftovers, we are still using the freshest bread to make our award-winning sandwiches.

Of paramount importance (sustenance be damned), is having your wine rack, beer fridge and liquor cabinet fully stocked so you don't go full Jack Torrence/The Shining on those that you love. We will be fulfilling orders as best we can with inventory on hand and will gladly be accepting special orders of any particular item you are searching for.  In most cases, special orders can be fulfilled the following day.  All special orders must be received no later than 3pm the previous day.

Unfortunately, we are not in a position to deliver single lunch and dinner orders throughout town like jolly St. Nick, but we are more than happy to fulfill deli orders for delivery in conjunction with alcohol delivery. Please click  here to view our deli menu and call the store directly to hear our daily specials.

While we are capable to offer same-day delivery on a limited basis where applicable, we are ordering goods every day, and next-day delivery is available under virtually all circumstances unless otherwise noted.

To help provide a safer shopping experience for our customer and our employee we are also offering curb-side pick-up for all goods.  Feel free to email or simply call directly to place your order. And for those visiting The Wine Merchant directly or coming into contact with our staff, we want you to know that we are practicing proper, clean habits consistently.  Counters, common areas, handles and register areas are being disinfected on a consistent basis.  For curb side pick up, carry outs and deliveries, employees are being required to wear disposable gloves, and they are to be disposed of after every carry out and/or delivery.  We have also marked in blue and red tape designated waiting areas as well as appropriate social spacing for our customer and employee safety.

We cannot thank you all enough for the unbelievable support and patronage as we all do our best to navigate life through the Covid-19, and we hope we can see your smiling faces....from a safe distance of course!

Cheers,
The Wine Merchant

Katherine Goldschmidt, "Stonemason", Cabernet Sauvignon. Alexander Valley/Sonoma.  $19.99
This wine was a single-vineyard Cabernet from Crazy Creek Vineyard, that for years went to Simi for their Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon ($75).  The quality of the vineyard was recognized by Silver Oak and they purchased it recently. In 2018, it's a blend of fruit from Crazy Creek and Stonemason Hill. Striking in it's balanced between ripe fruit and poise on the palate.  Offers an abundance of wild cherries, black raspberries, crushed rock and Baker's Chocolate.
Your new everyday Cab bargain!

Field Recordings, Chenin Blanc, "Shell Creek", Paso Robles. $27.99
Shell Creek Vineyard is 20 miles from the town of Paso Robles. It has sandy top soil w/ calcareous fossilized seashells underneath. Planted in 1972, it is farmed using low intervention without the use of pesticides & chemicals in the vineyard. Aged completely in Acacia barrels - shows aromas of Asian pear, lemon zest, & some pleasant leesy qualities. The palate offers Meyer lemon, cardamom spice followed by a shimmering, mineral-inflected texture. Pair w/ blackened cod or spicy tuna salad.

Volpaia, "Citto", Toscana Rosso. $13.99
Fruity, Sangiovese-like fruit elements of bing cherry & fresh, savory herbs & spice provide support and elevate the balanced, fresh acidity. A very well made middle-of-the-week pasta & pizza wine.  Organic.
