C|M|LAW HALL OF FAME HONOREES!


We are pleased to announce the exceptional Honorees who will be inducted into our C|M|LAW Hall of Fame Class of 2018 on Friday, October 26, 2018.

The  C|M|LAW Hall of Fame was established in 2017 to honor the outstanding contributions to the success and prestige of our law school by distinguished alumni, faculty, staff, friends and community leaders.  Full Selection Criteria

After the amazing success of the inaugural Hall of Fame induction, the celebration has become the signature annual event of our law school.   See 2017 Hall of Fame Video

The  Induction Celebration will take place  Friday, October 26, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Atrium and Moot Court Room, 1801 Euclid Ave.. A formal invitation will be sent out in the weeks to come.

Professor John Plecnik  was cited by the United States Supreme Court in the dissenting opinion of  Lucia v. Securities and Exchange Commission . The case could have significant implications on how federal administrative judges are appointed by numerous government agencies.


Cleveland-Marshall  launched its innovative new C|M|LAW Tech Lab, in partnership with TCDI, with a grand opening ceremony Wednesday, June 27. The Tech Lab is housed in a dedicated and secure on-campus center within the law school library.

Carr Receives National Diversity Scholarship

C|M|LAW student Jeffery Carr (pictured center with Tucker Ellis Associates Brandon Cox '12 and Charissa Walker' 09) was selected as one of two recipients of the national DRI Law Student Diversity Scholarship. He was selected based on demonstrated academic excellence, service to the profession, service to the community, and service to the cause of diversity.
Prof. Sagers Quoted by New York Times, Yahoo and Bloomberg

Professor Chris Sagers was quoted in the New York Times' Sunday edition in a story investigating Amazon and potential antitrust issues from its promotion of Amazon-owned private-label products.  He also was quoted by Yahoo Finance in a story on Match Group and by Bloomberg on the U.S. Supreme Court opinion in Ohio v. American Express.
