GROWING BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS EVENT  
NC Arts in Action held an event to celebra te our growth on March 28 at Devolve on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. Wake County teachers and administrators gave glowing reports to a crowd of 125 on the empowering effect our program is having on their students. More than $15,000 was raised to aid in our expansion efforts. Thanks to all who attended and sponsored this event.

RASHKIS FINAL PERFORMANCE 
Rashkis 4th Teachers 2018 Congratulations to students at Rashkis Elementary as they presented a season capping performance of "Common Cents - Dancing for Change" on April 12. The show was written and choreographed by Alton Tisino with musical direction by Doug Largent. Thank you to Rashkis principal Dr. Janice Croasmun, School Liaison Michelle Wood and four grade teachers Ms. Alexander, Ms. Maxwell, Ms. Najera, Mr. Tompkins, Ms. Fi sher and Ms. Noel.

Congratulations to students at Pittboro Elementary as they presented a season capping performance of "Common Cents" on April 19.

NC AIA FEATURED ON COMMUNITY MATTERS 
Arts in Action was featured in three segments of Community Matters last month. Executive Director Marlon Torres explains our program in segment 1 and Artistic Director Alton Tisino details how dance improves life skills in segment 2. The 3rd segment features our Rashkis students practicing their moves while Marlon and Alton explain the theory behind this innovative program.
