Global Women in Law & Leadership
Afternoon Symposium
Evening
Reception and Honors Dinner

Please join us for what promises to be an incredible event.  The Global Women in Law & Leadership Symposium and Reception and Honors Dinner will bring together high-level professionals to delve into the many issues women face in the workplace and particularly in the corporate legal profession.  The Symposium, hosted in collaboration with the ACC NYC Chapter Women's Group, will feature prominent discussions surrounding women in the workplace. Following the Symposium, the dinner will feature distinguished honorees who have made significant contributions to the legal profession, excel as leaders and have been instrumental in advancing opportunities for women around the world.

This special event will take place on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 2:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Delegates Dining Room at the United Nations. During the Reception and Honors Dinner, the honorees will provide our audience with a glimpse of how they overcame traditional barriers to success and how they are helping future generations of women professionals do the same.  It is no coincidence we have chosen the prestigious United Nations as our venue for this program.  The UN's Sustainable Development Goals 5 and 10 are aligned with the ACC Foundation's mission and we will work tirelessly to support this effort.

** Please Note:  all guest must be registered with their name exactly as it appears on their government issued ID no later than Friday, June 7th in order to comply with the UN's strict security policy - NO EXCEPTIONS. **

Registration

Keynote Presentation:
Dr. Arin N. Reeves, President, Nextions
Author, One Size Never Fits All: Business Development Strategies for Women (and Most Men)
One size never fits all.  Yet, much of the business and leadership advice given to women on how to thrive and advance in workplaces is based on how men thrive and advance.  The sustainable advancement of women requires that we recognize and understand the differences between how women and men communicate, work and lead.  This presentation will cover ways in which men and women from different backgrounds and perspectives can effectively develop business, while still being authentic.  Hear from Dr. Reeves who will dive into those differences in a candid, thoughtful and practicable way.

Panel Presentations:

Words of Wisdom from Courageous Women Counsel
What's changing (and what needs to change) in our profession?  What can we learn from history? How do we lead through change? How can we be catalysts for accelerated change?  Our moderated panel of courageous women counsel will share their stories, insights, and perspectives on the (women's) wave of changes facing the modern-day in-house counsel.

The Global Rise of Women in Leadership
In the last year, the world has witnessed a global rise of women in leadership positions. This panel will address what they see as the effect such rise has had on leadership opportunities for women and corporate success, beginning with a brief report on the current “State of Affairs” for women globally.
