"Art Journal Challenge #6"

**PLEASE NOTE:  Registration will be closing at 10pm on Friday, Aug 10th.

You ever have one of those days where you really want to create, but you can't make up your mind what to do or where to start?  You are not alone!  The purpose of these Art Journal Challenges is to give yourself a starting point and to just create!  Along the process, we'll be using many different techniques and products!  This will not be a class where I show you step-by-step how to create your page.  I will however, show you how to do each of the techniques in this challenge - and then you can use those techniques while you create your page.  I am definitely available for questions/guidance.  It might sound intimidating, but it's really not! You will likely get hooked after the first class!

This class is perfect for ages 10 and up!

**PLEASE NOTE** This class is on Wednesday evenings for 2 consecutive weeks:

  • Aug 13, 6-7:30pm
  • Aug 20, 6-7:30pm

Cost is only $37/person, and includes art supplies (paint, book pages, markers, mediums, aprons, brushes), technique demonstrations, and guidance!

**Please see what you need to bring listed under "What You Need to Bring" below.

Tickets are limited to 10, so register now!  Any questions?  Call Robyn at Painting with Friends (509)990-8011.

Cancellation Policy:  7 days notice prior to first class is required for refund (less $5) or transfer to another class.

Invite your friends to register - share on FB!

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

1.  The overall theme is your 'Favorite Book, Song, or Movie'!  I will have book paper, but if you have a book that holds significance for you that you'd like to use - feel free to bring it!  Maybe go to Good Will and get a copy of your favorite book or print pages off your kindle (if that is even possible?).  Or if you're doing a song - maybe the sheet music?   Or maybe you would like to do a collage - gather pics from your fav book, song or Movie to add to your page.  Maybe stickers/rub-ons to embellish the page?  Bring all of those with you to class.

 2.  Purchase/Bring an Art Journal.  One of my favorites is the Canson Mixed Media, available at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Walmart, Spokane Art Supply, etc.  Any size will work.

 3.  I  will have various stencils and gesso.  Also I'll have a variety of colored markers available, but if you have your favorite pens to doodle with, please bring those.
