Don't Miss the Fantastic CE Opportunities at WVOC in Barcelona!

Dear VOS members,

If you would like a great opportunity to get some fantastic orthopedic continuing education in a beautiful and unusual location, take a look at the upcoming World Veterinary Orthopaedic Congress (WVOC) in Barcelona, Spain from September 12th-15th, 2018. The WVOC is a joint meeting held by the VOS and ESVOT only once every 4 years. The two Societies take turns hosting the Conference and this year it is ESVOT's turn.

The CE will be unparalleled with presentations from over 70 recognized leaders from all over the world. The lectures are given in English so language will not be a problem for North American attendees. Barcelona is a beautiful city on the Mediterranean. It boasts one of Europe's largest, best-preserved medieval quarters and the finest collection of Modernista architecture anywhere. Its modern Catalan cuisine is innovative and daring, and between the cathedrals, galleries, and buzzing nightlife, there is something for everyone. For more information, or to register, go to www.wvoc2018.eu.

VOS members should have already received our summer mailing, which was sent June 30. In it you will find your VOS dues invoice along with information on our Conference in Breckenridge, Colorado next year. We moved the Conference up a little earlier next year, to February 9-16, to avoid other major Conferences and to get a little better ski weather, so don't let the earlier deadlines sneak up on you. Register early and don't forget that you save $150 off your registration when you book through our web site with Ski.com. It is these bookings that allow us complimentary use of the meeting space, so we count on you to help us out by doing that.

Jeff GodwinAs you know, VOS members receive a discount on registration for our Conference, but there are other benefits to VOS membership as well. Members receive a discounted rate of $155 for VCOT subscriptions compared to the normal $315 rate. Members may also place complimentary employment advertisements in our newsletter and on our web site. Take advantage of these opportunities if they would be of benefit to you. We plan to look for other ways to enhance your membership value this year. Enjoy your summer, and I look forward to seeing you in Barcelona and Breckenridge!
