The Assistive Devices Program (ADP) provides funding support to eligible individuals who have long-term physical disabilities, to obtain personalized assistive devices appropriate for their basic needs. Eligibility is determined through a comprehensive functional assessment by an ADP registered authorizer. Occupational therapists represent a large cohort of ADP Authorizers for Seating and Mobility Devices. Both the ADP and occupational therapists wish to see that eligible clients access the right assistive devices - how can we best ensure this happens?
