WILDFLOWER SUMMER

The heat of summer is exactly what these native wildflowers love!

Oxeye Sunflower (Heliopsis helianthoides) - Thrives in full sun. Takes the summer heat and humidity. This plant continues to bloom nonstop from summer to fall with little yellow daisy-like flowers. Grows to about 3' tall
and 2-3' wide.

Be sure to look for other wildflowers like Giant Ironweed, Golden Alexander, Rosinweed and Joe Pye Weed.

MILKWEED

Milkweed is the only source of food for Monarch caterpillars and can also be a great nectar source for other butterflies during the season. Currently, we have the 3 varieties of Milkweed:

Tropical Milkweed (Asclepias currasavica) - Provides lots of foliage for caterpillars and grows easily and quickly. We recommend that you cut back this plant to ground in November to mimic dormancy of other native varieties.

We also have 2 Native varieties in stock:
Asclepias tuberosa & Ascelpias incarnata
