Vaughan to be home to the world's first-ever indoor CREACTIVE
On June 22, it was announced that Cirque de Soleil Entertainment Group and Ivanhoe Cambridge, owner of Vaughan Mills, have chosen Vaughan to be home to the world's first-ever indoor CREACTIVE family entertainment centre, scheduled to open September 2019 at Vaughan Mills. CREACTIVE will be a first of its kind, an innovative concept of indoor family entertainment experiences specially designed by Cirque du Soleil for retail locations, like Vaughan Mills.

Michael Coroneos joins Vaughan as Chief Financial Officer and City Treasurer
Following an extensive recruitment process, it was announced on July 3 that Michael Coroneos will be joining the City of Vaughan as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and City Treasurer. Mr. Coroneos has more than 21 years of senior management leadership, operations and project management experience in the private sector and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer with IBM Canada.

Watermain Replacement on Major Mackenzie
The City of Vaughan's contractor has began work to complete the replacement of the watermain on Major Mackenzie Drive from Jane Street to Keele Street.
Beat the heat at one of our splash pads
Beat the heat this summer and enjoy the  splash pads and water play areas located inside City of Vaughan community parks. Every splash pad is different - try them all this summer!
Sports field maintenance
City of Vaughan staff maintain 57 baseball diamonds and 113 soccer fields throughout the city. If there is heavy rainfall and saturation on the sports fields, sports fields may temporarily close. For up-to-date information please visit vaughan.ca/sportsfieldhotline
