Uber Eats is Coming to Westland

Westland, MI (July 10, 2018) - Uber Eats, the online food ordering and delivery platform launched by Uber in 2014, is now available in Westland.

Uber Eats partners with restaurants in hundreds of cities around the world, and now has now added Westland to the list. Uber Eats is an online food ordering and delivery app that partners with restaurants to offer a range of cuisines. The app allows residents to get food from restaurants that don't normally deliver, and they can get it within 30 minutes or less. Many Westland restaurants have already joined Uber Eats, including Ashley's Beer and Grill, Los Amigos, Anna's House, McDonalds and Olga's Kitchen.

"Having Uber Eats as a c onvenience for residents and businesses is another step forward for the City," commented the City's Economic Development Director, Charles House, " Not only is Uber Eats providing an easy way to get food from your favorite restaurants, it is also creating new jobs. Anyone 19 years or older can apply to be a delivery partner/driver."

"There is an increasing demand for easy access to good food, with Westland's Shop and Dine District continually growing and attracting destination restaurants," commented Mayor Wild. "Uber Eats will help stimulate our local economy by increasing that access and by creating jobs in the area."
