This eight-hour course meets requirements toward the 40-hour re-certification program for assisted living, adult residential facilities and board & care operators. The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the various types of memory impairments so care providers can deliver special emphasis on the management of the motor and non-motor symptoms caused by impairments and how to provide quality care to these individuals.

The purpose of this course is to provide an overview and understanding of the culture of seniors who self-identify as LGBT. This course will focus on learning how to provide quality care to this group of individuals, focusing on creating a diverse, openly welcome, and empathic residential care community.

Compliance is not a bad word. This course will review ways administrators can stay on top of what’s new in regulations while meeting the demands of residents and families. Review of important each administrator should have implemented and new California administrator laws impacting operations. A group discussion will be held on best practices to ensure compliance and administrator experiences in what happens in non-compliance status.
