Promoted under the banner, "Play where the pros play and help stop crime," the first year's tournament was a striking success. This year's tournament is expected to continue and build on that success. Players get to play one of the country's finest courses and have the satisfaction of doing something to make the community safer.
"We really appreciate all our sponsors of this year's tournament, especially our title sponsor Phelps Security, which has long been a supporter of the Memphis Police Department as well as CrimeStoppers," said E. Winslow (Buddy) Chapman, executive director of the nonprofit.
"We expect a great day of golfing, and a great boost to our efforts throughout the year," he added.
Players will be fed breakfast and lunch, receive a gift bag, have an opportunity to bid on a four-day mountain retreat, and other prizes.
Players register this year beginning at 8 a.m., with starting time set at 9:30 a.m. Tournament t-shirts and mulligans will be available for sale.
CrimeStoppers appreciates all of this year's sponsors and sends out a special salute to title sponsor Phelps Security.
