Flights Between Japan and Sakhalin

Russian air carrier Yakutia Airlines now operates year-round twice-weekly scheduled service between Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (UUS) and Tokyo (Narita - NRT). The flights operate on Tuesdays and Fridays utilizing Sukhoi Superjet.

The flight schedule is coordinated with those of major air carriers operating into Tokyo (NRT) from the US to allow for convenient connections. In addition, a baggage-transfer agreement with United Airlines permits travelers to check bags all the way through from the US to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, thus avoiding entry/exit formalities when connecting at Tokyo.
