Georgia's WaterFirst Program joined GEFA on July 1, 2018. Previously managed by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, WaterFirst recognizes local governments for achieving excellence in water resources management.  Read more

Communities receive financing for environmental infrastructure projects  
 
The GEFA board of directors awarded $50 million to 19 communities for water, wastewater, and sewer infrastructure improvements during its May meeting in Tifton.   Read more

Diana Food makes Banks County, Georgia, its home in North America  
 
After two years and looking at 25 communities across the country, Diana Food picked Banks County, Georgia, for a new manufacturing plant and research and development facility.   Read more

Drinking water infrastructure needs survey and assessment  
 
Every four years, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency conducts an infrastructure assessment of the nation's public water systems. The findings are used to allocate funding to the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.   Read more

Georgia Environmental Conference registration now open  
 
Attendee registration is open for the 13th annual Georgia Environmental Conference----  the state's largest environmental conference. The conference hosts environmental professionals and industry leaders from all over the Southeast.   Read more

GEFA updates brand  
 
The Public Affairs Division updated the GEFA brand with a slightly refreshed and modernized appearance. The updated brand will continue to give GEFA its unique identity.
