Descendants Donate Portraits of Two Patriots
Historic pieces were recently donated by the children and grandchildren of the late  Mrs. Bennett Pierrepont Jack  of Yeaman’s Hall, South Carolina, descendants of  William Kerin Constable  and  Anna Maria Jay Pierrepont.

Included is an original engraving of Gilbert Stuart’s Lansdowne portrait of  George Washington , perhaps the most recognizable rendering of our nation’s first President. Read more here in this volunteer blog by Zarina Iman.

Where Green Educators
(Of All Ages) Gather...
Over 130 educators and community advocates attended the Green Schools, Green Futures event on March 28 at our sunny Carriage House co-sponsored by the Rye YMCA and the Jay Heritage Center. The youngest and perhaps most powerful presenters were members of the Green Tigers , a group of 4th and 5th graders committed to changing our planet!

Guests were invited to tour the work site for the new gardens at JHC afterwards with Toby Adams, Director of the NYBG Edible Academy . See all the panel presentations, speaker bios and more here on our website.
THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 5!
Jams at Jay Returns!
Our 3rd concert brings the Ken Dircks Trio with special guest, Steph Chinn. The trio formed in 2016 when Ken, Nicole and Paul, as local Larchmont musical parents, were experimenting with a larger ensemble of New Orleans speakeasy jazz. Paul plunked "Beatrice" by Sam Rivers during a break; Ken followed along for a few notes on standup, and Nicole declared "hey we should do something with this!" The Ken Dircks Trio was born.
