House of Prayer
is a gathering of God's people who value:
Welcoming,
Openness,
Compassionate Community,
and Relationships

Here is an update of what is happening at
House of Prayer this week!
Worship This Sunday!
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." John 6:35

Jesus tells the people he is the Bread of Life. This powerful statement implies Jesus provides all we truly need for life. We all need to eat, yet no matter how much we might eat in a meal or a day, the next day (or hour) we are hungry again. There is a never ending need for more food. Jesus satisfies our hunger and thirst in a way nothing can. In Christ, we can be truly satisfied and nourished. And the best news is the Bread of Life is gift of God's grace. This gives new meaning to "gluten free."
VBS is AWESOME!
This week of "Shipwrecked" VBS has been a blast! We learned through games, crafts, Bible stories, drama, and music how Jesus rescues us from loneliness, worry, struggles, and powerlessness. Huge thanks to Heidi Thomas and Cindy Jacobs for coordinating such a wonderful week and to everyone else who helped make it happen!
