Gillian Coldsnow has been a leader at Northwest Public Broadcasting since joining the staff as a classical music host in 1993. Her leadership includes being a coach, mentor and supervisor for hundreds of students who have worked at the station in the last 25 years. Washington State University recognized Gillian’s efforts and influence as a mentor in April, presenting her a Woman of Distinction award before an audience of some 500.
Congratulations to NWPB EarthFix Correspondent Courtney Flatton being nominated for a regional Emmy Award. Courtney and the EarthFix team, which consists of regional public media correspondents in the Northwest, regularly cover “news fixed on the environment.” Courtney’s work was nominated in the informational/instructional feature segment category for her video work, “Salmon Or Dams, Do We Have To Choose?” The Northwest Regional Emmys will be awarded in June. Great work, Courtney!
