Be a Village Person!

This Week in Westville is your go-to source for news, events, activities and goings-on in the Westville community. Like NPR and other user-supported media, much of our operations rely on the support of our "local listeners" - you, the reader. In order for the Westville Village Renaissance Alliance to continue providing this valuable community service, we ask you to donate or join WVRA as a Village Person today! Beyond the e-news, WVRA is working every day to make Westville a brighter, safer, more vibrant place to be. To learn more about our Main Street program initiatives, from community and cultural activities, economic revitalization, traffic-calming, historic preservation, and other quality of life efforts, click HERE.

MAKE MUSIC DAY NEW HAVEN IN WESTVILLE!

Performers and Performance Times CLICK HERE

Make Music Day is a FREE celebration of music that takes place in cities around the world, on June 21st. Every kind of musician - young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion - pours onto streets, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. Last year, over 800 cities around the world had citywide music celebrations on June 21st.

This year, New Haven will join hundreds of cities around the globe as we mark the beginning of summer with the 1st Annual Make Music New Haven.

The event is an all-ages, all inclusive celebration of music that will be held at locations all around New Haven. Throughout the day, you may hear music being performed on a sidewalk, a residential porch, the steps of a church, a parking lot, parks, or even at a public place of business. All are welcome to participate - no experience necessary! Join a diverse community of musicians and help fill every neighborhood with music.
