Lakeway's audit results are in
Every year, in accordance with the Charter, the city council has an independent auditor examine financial records and internal controls in order to render an opinion of whether the financial statements are presented without material misstatements. After an exhaustive process, Singleton, Clark & Company found that the annual financial statements for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2018, were prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and provided an unmodified or "clean" opinion. Special thank you for a job well done by the city Finance Department, lead by Assistant City Manager, Julie Oakley.
